We have been working with Nouns DAO for the past 9 months to build flows.wtf. Flows is a new capital allocation system that helps DAOs pay out small grants accurately, transparently, and fairly.
We have built a system that verifies impact in real time, and grades builders based on their contributions.
Basically, it's the best way to allocate money to grassroots initiatives on the Internet. With Flows, Nouns paid $180k to more than 220 projects all around the world. The impact was massive.
We propose to launch a Grounds flow that funds monthly coffee meetups. Basically, anyone in Grounds can apply to organize a monthly coffee meetup and have their coffee paid for by the DAO. People will post updates on Farcaster, and Grounds NFT holders can vote to steer money to their favorite meetups in real time.
We plan to slowly scale this up as the community regains its footing. We propose a 3 month trial, paying out a minimum of $40/mo per meetup. More than enough to buy coffee for a small group. We expect anywhere from 3-10 meetup applications, so are requesting $400 per month for 3 months. We don't plan to use all of this money, and will stretch it to last depending on the number of applications we see, targeting around $40 per quality meetup per month.
